The Feed The Need Art Auction is a joyful, hope‑filled evening where art, food, and community come together to support neighbors in need—and where kids are invited to take center stage in making a difference.
This special night is made possible through a grassroots partnership between The Human Collective Outreach, Unity Meals, and Think Say Go, all working together around a shared belief: when people come together with compassion, powerful things happen.
More Than an Event — A Shared Table
Food has a way of bringing people together, and we are honored to have Chef Jeff Catering providing the meal for the evening. Guests will enjoy a delicious, thoughtfully prepared dinner meant to be shared in community—because connection often begins around the table.
Along with the meal, the evening will feature:
- Live entertainment, including a 45‑minute improv show for all ages
- A silent art auction showcasing artwork from artists of all ages and talents
- A first‑hand story of what it means to be present with people experiencing homelessness and addiction—and why every moment matters
This is a night to slow down, breathe, laugh, and remember that hope grows when we choose to be with one another.
Art, Kids, and the Power of “Doing a Little”
At the heart of the Feed The Need Art Auction is a simple but powerful idea: everyone has something to give.
Children and youth are invited to donate their artwork to be featured in the silent auction. Their creativity becomes a tangible way to support others—and a reminder that even small acts of generosity can create big impact.
At the end of the evening, winning bids will be announced, and young artists will have the option to personally hand their artwork to its new owner—giving kids a moment in the spotlight and a meaningful connection to the good they helped create.
When life feels hard and the work feels daunting, this night reminds us that if everyone does a little, a lot can be accomplished.
Why We Gather
Proceeds from the Feed The Need Art Auction support outreach events in the Phillips Neighborhood of South Minneapolis.
Through the partnership with The Human Collective Outreach, this work is strengthened by a shared commitment to human connection, presence, and community‑led care.
During the evening, guests will hear directly how these efforts change lives—not through quick fixes, but through consistent presence and compassion.
